To teach students who are assigned to a class within the school and to carry out such associated duties as are reasonably assigned by the Head of Early Years

To support the after-school activities, school trips, events and to contribute to whole school learning.

Implementing Safeguarding procedures at the School
Any other reasonable duties as allocated by the line manager.
Ensure the effective teaching and management of an EYFS/IB class, groups and individuals so that teaching objectives are met, momentum and challenge are maintained and the best use is made of teaching time
Have an excellent knowledge and understanding of what constitutes quality EYFS & IB provision and strategies for raising young pupil’s achievement and learning interest.
Use teaching methods which will engage students and stimulate pupils’ intellectual curiosity including the use of effective questioning and good use of high quality resources.
Set high expectations for students’ behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of behaviour management through focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships in accordance with the school expectations, values and policies.
Identify and create clear teaching objectives, content, structures and sequences of lessons appropriate to the educational needs of the students.
Set appropriate, realistic yet challenging expectations for pupils’ learning, building on prior attainment.
Identify students who may require additional support and know where to get help in order to give positive and targeted support.
Planning should show clear understanding of the EYFS/IB goals and expectations and leads to progression within the structure of the day and over sequences of lessons.
Skills/qualifications,
Detailed knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the UK EYFS/ IB PYP
Minimum of two years teaching experience
Detailed understanding of AL strategies and how to use assessment to inform planning for outstanding teaching and learning.
Has high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge students.
Proven track record of ensuring good progress and outcomes for students.
Creativity in teaching a topic/play-based curriculum in an international setting.
A degree and recognised teaching qualification, postgraduate Diploma/Higher degree in education is preferred.
Teaching degree or qualification with QTS
Evidence of relevant continual professional development
Ability to create a positive, challenging learning environment.
Evidence of good classroom management skills
