BASIS International & Bilingual Schools Wuhan opened in fall 2023. Our first campus in Hubei province, faculty and students enjoy state of the art facilities, including spacious classrooms, gymnasiums, multiple performance spaces, science labs, a swimming pool, student dorms, and much more. The school opened with Grades Pre-K – 9 to begin, and will grow to become a Pre-K – Grade 12 school.
Wuhan is the capital of Hubei province and offers many scenic sites along the confluence of the Han and Yangtze rivers. It is in the very heart of China, roughly equidistant from Beijing in the north and Guangzhou in the south. There are many famous sites in and near the city, such as a Yuan-dynasty temple, the Hubei Provincial Museum, Yellow Crane Tower, Yangtze River Bridge and more.

Accommodation
Furnished housing is provided by the school. A housing allowance in lieu of provided housing is also available as an alternate option.
Moving Allowance
Allowance for moving expenses related to relocation to the employee’s BASIS International School city and back to the employee’s home country at the end of employment in China.
Flights/Transport
Economy-class airfare for the employee and accompanying, immediate family to relocate to China at the beginning of employment, and back to the employee’s home country upon successful completion of final employment term in China. Annual allowance for employee expenses for home return trip or vacation travel during school breaks.
Dependent Opportunities
Tuition waivers for up to two employee children.
Medical
An international healthcare plan for employees and accompanying spouse and up to two accompanying school-aged children.
Retirement
All employees are eligible for an annual 10% retirement benefit paid at the end of each school year. The retirement benefit is subject to applicable Chinese taxes.
Bonus
Employees are eligible for a Fulfillment Bonus upon successful completion of the full employment term in China.
