Number of Contract Days
Academic Calendar: The academic year for returning employees will not exceed 195 working days.
Working Hours: Minimum employee work hours for a normal school day are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Pastoral Care: Employee is required to actively participate in a minimum of thirty (30) hours per year of pastoral care activities with students outside the regular working day.
Taxes
The school pays income tax that is approximately 23% per annum.

A teaching couple can save one salary, depending on their lifestyle.
A single teacher with no dependents could save 30% of their salary, depending on their lifestyle.
A single teacher with dependents could save 10% of their salary, depending on their lifestyle.
Accommodation
Most faculty live in school provided apartments nearby the school. Additionally, there are a limited number of apartments on the KISJ school campus.
On-campus dorm apartments: Utility costs covered by the school.
On and off campus non-dorm apartments: Faculty is responsible for monthly maintenance and utility costs.

Flights/Transport
The employee, their legal spouse and up to two (2) legal dependents receive economy-class air tickets for passage from a prior agreed point of departure to Jeju.
Moving Allowance
Single Employee (no dependents) = US$500 Shipping Allowance and ₩1,200,000 Relocation allowance
Teaching Couple (no children) = US$800 Shipping Allowance and ₩2,000,000 Relocation Allowance
Teaching Couple (with children) = US$1,000 Shipping Allowance and ₩2,300,000 Relocation Allowance
Dependent Opportunities
Tuition is free for two (2) children per faculty family; parents must cover fees associated with uniforms and extracurricular activities.
Up to ₩500,000 each month (except during summer vacation) to assist with the cost of childcare for up to two (2) legal dependents (aged 3–60 months), however both parents must be on E-7 visas and employed with KISJ under full-time contracts to receive the payment.
Medical
International medical insurance plan with TieCare International, includes dental and vision. Annual deductible amount will vary.
Medical insurance is provided for the employee and two (2) accompanying legal dependents under the age of 18. Legal spouse or dependents over 17 years will not be provided with medical insurance.
Bonus
Additional stipends for: Island living ($1,500), Pastoral Care ($1,500), Advanced degree ($800-$1,000), Department/Team Lead (varies from $500 - $2,500), Coaching ($250-$500).
Retirement
Severance: Employer will provide an annual severance payment equivalent to 8.3% of the annual salary, collectable at the end of the final year of employment. The severance is only paid out for continuous employment of more than 365 days in accordance with South Korean law.
Pension: Exceptions as cited in the contract document, employer will match mandatory employee monthly contributions (Approximately 4.5%) to the Korean National Pension Plan.
