The Head of School role is the most senior management position in an ESF kindergarten, reporting to the Principal of Quarry Bay Primary School. This exciting opportunity involves leading and managing a new ESF Kindergarten, providing strategic leadership and overseeing a broad curriculum and functional areas across the school.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to foster a vibrant learning environment for young children.
- Develop and implement engaging and play-based experiences through the IB Primary Years Programme that cater to the individual needs of each learner, promoting holistic growth.
- Ensure a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to explore their interests.
- Utilise innovative teaching strategies and resources, including hands-on activities and interactive play, to engage students and support diverse learning styles.
- Assess and monitor educational progress, offering constructive feedback to guide each child's learning journey.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers, maintaining open communication about their children’s development and milestones.
- Lead professional development initiatives for staff, fostering a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement.
- Inspire a love of learning and creativity, cultivating an environment that ignites curiosity and imagination.
- Establish a safe and inclusive space that promotes well-being and effective child safeguarding measures.
- Work proactively and constructively with the Quarry Bay primary school to ensure alignment, collaboration and belonging.

General Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (Early Childhood Education) or a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with a Postgraduate in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent, qualifying you to teach children aged 3-5.
- Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE)
- Proven leadership experience in a kindergarten, with experience in setting up a new school/kindergarten being desirable.
- Experience in early years curriculum and pedagogy
