Newton College is looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Mathematics who is committed to the holistic growth of students. The appointee will be responsible for the Middle Years Programme mathematics curriculum in Years 6 – 10 and for the Diploma programme curriculum in Years 11 - 12. S/he will be the direct line manager of a department of seven full time mathematics teachers and will report to the Coordinators of the MYP and DP.
Interested candidates must fulfil the following requirements:

Hold a teaching degree in Mathematics, preferably with higher studies;
Have experience with the IB Middle Years and /or Diploma Programme;
Demonstrate expert classroom practice that promotes inquiry-based learning;
Command of a wide range of digital tools for teaching, communicating and data collecting;
Possess excellent communication skills, spoken and written;
Possess excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
Demonstrate a growth mind-set and positive drive.
Contract
An initial two-year contract with flights to and from country of residence for appointee and close family;
