Teaching with Participate Learning is more than an opportunity—it’s a life-changing experience that allows you to make a real difference in students’ lives while advancing your own career.
As an international educator, you’ll bring authentic global perspectives into U.S. classrooms, inspiring curiosity and helping young learners develop the skills they need to thrive in an interconnected world. Your presence empowers students to think beyond borders, embrace diversity, and prepare for success in a global workforce.
At the same time, you’ll gain valuable professional experience, immerse yourself in American culture, and grow personally and professionally in ways that will benefit you long after your exchange program ends. This is more than just teaching—it’s a cultural journey that broadens your horizons while shaping the future of students in the U.S. and around the world."

North Carolina is renowned for its incredible natural beauty and vibrant cities. With the Blue Ridge Mountains in the west, coastal beach towns in the east, and 41 state parks, many places exist for families and solo adventurers to explore. Raleigh, the state capital, is located in the centre of the state and is part of the “Triangle,” an area recently ranked as the #2 place in the country to live by the U.S. News and World Report. Charlotte, the state’s largest city, is home to several major sports teams and various museums to explore.
We are seeking skilled elementary school teachers who are passionate about supporting the success of U.S. students while advancing their own teaching careers. To be considered, applicants must hold a primary teaching qualification and must be currently employed as a teacher in a primary school setting. This opportunity enables you to bring your expertise to U.S. classrooms while gaining valuable international experience that will enrich your career in the long term.
Participate Learning, a designated sponsor of the U.S. Department of State’s BridgeUSA Exchange Visitor Program, goes beyond placement—we prepare you for success. From a structured, step-by-step application process to a comprehensive induction program led by experienced educators, you’ll gain the tools and insights you need to excel in a U.S. classroom. Our orientation week upon arrival provides hands-on training, networking opportunities, and resources to ensure you’re ready to inspire your students from day one.
