About the role
At Hendon Prep School, you will take on the exciting role of Class Teacher with a specialism in Science, inspiring young minds and preparing pupils for scholarship exams and entry into selective senior schools. You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons, tracking and supporting pupil progress, and contributing to a dynamic and collaborative teaching team. Beyond the classroom, you’ll play an active role in school life—accompanying educational trips, maintaining a positive and inclusive environment, and promoting pupil wellbeing and safety at all times.
This is a part-time (0.6), permanent role with a proposed start date in January 2026.

Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated educator who is passionate about science and primary education. You’ll bring strong communication skills, a sound academic background, and the ability to teach science confidently up to Key Stage 2. Your ability to manage behaviour effectively, embrace innovation, and work collaboratively will make you a valued member of our school community. If you are reflective, resilient, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning as well as ready to take part in the wider life of our school, we would love to hear from you.
