Unable to find a suitable school for her daughter in Kuala Lumpur, Alice Fairfield-Smith, a biology graduate from Harvard University, set up the school in her home in 1946 on Jalan Eaton. In doing so, she founded the very first British international school in Malaysia.
We keep the Alice Smith spirit alive by encouraging each child to forge their own path, to be fearless in their quests like Alice Smith and to spark courageous exploration to inspire a better world.
In the spirit of Alice Smith, we constantly look to evolve the learning experience of our students, balancing the latest pedagogical research and learning tools with the deep experience of our educators.
Today the Alice Smith School is one of the oldest not-for-profit international schools in Asia catering for over 1,500 students from Preschool to Year 13, with approximately 750 at the Primary Campus and 750 at the Secondary Campus Our school is internationally diverse, welcoming pupils from all over the world, attracted by a holistic, values-based and purpose driven education focused on student success, wellbeing and happiness.
