High Tech Academy is seeking an inspiring English teacher to teach in the Middle School.
We are looking for a passionate, engaging, and creative educator with experience teaching English Language and Literature to EAL (English as an Additional Language) students. The ideal candidate is open-minded, innovative, and enjoys collaboration with colleagues. Candidates should demonstrate self-awareness, integrity, a strong work ethic, and a solid command of their subject area.
We are particularly interested in candidates who:
Employ modern teaching techniques and can lead projects collaboratively.
Have experience teaching English Language and Literature to international students.
Actively contribute to Project-Based Learning (PBL), a method where students learn through meaningful projects.
Promote high-quality learning, ensuring all students develop skills and concepts at advanced levels.
Create an inquiry-based classroom that fosters critical thinking, knowledge development, and skill-building in an environment based on trust and respect.
Select relevant resources and digital tools to support and enhance learning while promoting responsible use of technology.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
A recognized teaching certification/qualification.
At least 3 years of teaching experience in English Language and Literature.
Experience with Common Core and/or Advanced Placement (AP) curricula is preferred.
Dedication to the ongoing development and excellence of High Tech Academy and alignment with the school’s values and ethos.
