High Tech Academy

High Tech Academy is a CIS-accredited, innovative K–12 school in Almaty, Kazakhstan, combining elements of international and American curricula with Project-Based Learning and the Minerva Baccalaureate program (Minerva Project, USA). Almaty is a beautiful, green, cosmopolitan city surrounded by mountains, offering plenty of opportunities for hiking, camping, and skiing. There are many cafés, bars, and restaurants to suit every taste. The local people are kind and welcoming, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by their hospitality.

Kazakhstan has an extremely continental and very dry climate, with pleasant summers and cold winters. Excellent skiing is just 20 minutes from the city center at Shymbulak Mountain Resort, and there are many wonderful parts of Kazakhstan to explore.

From Almaty, you can easily travel to other destinations - Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan are only 1- 2 hours away by flight, while Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Russia, China, Mongolia, and Dubai are within 4 - 6 hours.

Almaty can be as affordable as many South American or Eastern European cities. It is a wonderful gateway to a distinctive and still largely undiscovered country.
